Modern Art with a Classic Soul 

Chinese New Year has always been regarded as the right momentum to celebrate and honor Chinese tradition all over the world, including in Indonesia. This year is no different for Senayan City, which has taken the celebrations to another level by holding CNY 17: Prosperous Spring, an elaborate set of events to celebrate the Year of the Fire Rooster, taking place at the Main Atrium 1st floor from January 18 – February 5, 2017.

Visitors are treated to a glamorous sight the moment they set foot in the Main Atrium, clad in red and golden elements of the Spring Emperor installation (which in itself is inspired by the Palace of Qing Dynasty). Spring Emperor itself is an art installation by fashion and accessories designer, Rinaldy A. Yunardy, in collaboration with fellow fashion designers such as Andreas Odang, Ari Saputra, Danny Satriadi, Hian Tjen, Mel Ahyar, Sapto Djojokartiko, Sebastian Gunawan, Stella Rissa, and Yogie Pratama.

Included in the installation area is the Yin Zhen Lounge, designed by Budi Kurniawan x Forme in collaboration with KLOTS Home Furnishing. As a premier home accessories store, KLOTS Home Furnishing helped accentuate the lounge with classic Chinese ornaments.

Illuminated by decorative lighting, the lounge creates a strong atmosphere that simultaneously soothes the visitors through an unforgettable experience.

At Yin Zhen Lounge, this experience is elevated through symmetrical layout and illuminating lights that emphasize modern Chinese characters. It delivers a delightful atmosphere through substantial furniture and exquisite details of the classic Chinese emperor. With beautiful ornaments of red and gold accents, this concept presents a flawless look of glamour and elegance. Additionally, visitors are even invited to immerse themselves in the festivities by enjoying a cup of tea courtesy of Dilmah Premium Chinese Tea Legacy. All in all, it was a celebration to remember held in the hopes for health and prosperity in the year to come.
